Some days ago, a friend who runs a travel blog, asked me for my “Top 3” destinations. I immediately said Greece, and this is not strange for those of you who usually read me, right? I really love this country for its culture, its people and of course, for its gastronomy, and all of this is what made me travel there several times, including Athens and to some islands too.
Actually, in the travel section of this blog, there are two posts about my last travels there. One in 2015 in Crete about a cooking course I made in a local farm, and another about an olive experience on the island of Rhodes.
Precisely the dish I suggest today is one I ate for the first time in Crete. So easy, delicious and fast to prepare. Feta is the start cheese of Greece and luckily is easy to find authentic feta in Spain. Just be sure it’s written it was made in this country.
INGREDIENTS
1 piece of feta (around 200 gr)
1 green pepper
1 yellow pepper
Cherry tomatoes
Olive oil extra virgin to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
Oregano
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 180 C (350F). Now in a baking tray pour some olive oil and place the feta in the center.
Cut the peppers in pieces and put them around the cheese. Repeat with the cherries. Add more olive oil, salt and pepper, and oregano to taste and bake it for 25 minutes.
Buon appetito!
